A copper alloy Iron Age penannular brooch dating to the period c. 100BC - AD 43. The brooch features two terminals, one conical and the other rounded due to old damage. Both are decorated by a circumferential ridge running aorund the widest point. The body is decorated by a zigzag ridge which runs the length of the band with a groove and a linear ridge on either side. The decoration is unclear in places due to corrosion. A copper alloy late Iron Age or Roman continental brooch of uncertain type dating to the period c. 50BC - AD 75. The wings sit on either side of the head and have moulded circular knops at the tips. Each knop has an incised circumferential groove runnign down the inner edge. The lugs for the hinged pin mechanism extend from the reverse of the head. A cpper alloy Iron Age possible zoomorphic bucket mount dating to the period c. 150 BC - AD 100. The mount is in the shape of a stag's head. It is sub-trapeziodal in shape with a slightly flared muzzle. The eyes and nostrils are drilled and deeply recessed. Corney suggests they may have been inlaid, although there is no trace of this visible. The shank of the pin projects from the bottom of the ring-head and features a circular perforation with a cylindrical rivet in situ. A cast copper-alloy La Tène III brooch of late Iron Age to early Roman date, Circa 25-100 AD. The pin appears to have snapped off at the second spring coil - usually, these brooches have four coils - and there is a solid axis bar. The bow has treble horizontal bands above and below a collar with angled grooves. The lower treble band has a single band below. The chord is incomplete and the pin missing. There is a thick axis bar through the coils of the pin. It is oval in cross section. The bow is thick, D-sectioned and deeply arched. Part of an Iron Age copper-alloy brooch, probably of La Tene type 1B, dating from the 4th to late 3rd century BC. The arched bow is of 'D-shaped' section, its outer surfaces (but not the central area) 'pecked' to produce a scale-like effect. At the top, the bow tapers towards the now-missing spring; at the bottom, it bends at a right angle, extending into a vertical foot, which has been flattened and has a pin groove in its upper surface.
