A copper-alloy Late Iron Age to Early Roman strap fitting, strap-union or belt-link dating to 300 BC - AD 100. From the rear the object has a solid 8-shaped design, with a bar on either side around which leather straps would have been attached. The 8-shape is comprised of two conjoined plano-convex discs of 19.0mm diameter, although through being compressed together they each measure 17.9mm in length from the join to the outer edge. An incomplete cast copper-alloy Colchester one-piece brooch of early Roman date. The surviving part of the brooch measures 33.4mm by 11.4mm by 13.3mm and weighs 2.6g. It comprises the crossbar (one side of which is damaged), the rearward hook which kept the incomplete chord in place, the curving bow and about half of the spring. The bow is plain and tapers to a point. Very little of the catchplate survives.

A cast copper alloy Langton Down brooch of early Roman date. The brooch measures 40mm in length and weighs 5.5g. The measurement across the incomplete cylindrical wings is 16.6mm. They conceal the remains of the spring for the missing pin. The bow has a thin rectangular cross section which is consistent throughout its length. On the front is engraved decoration comprising a vertical dotted double linear border beside each edge with a wavy line and spirals within. On the back are the remains of the perforated catchplate.
