A contemporary forgery of an Iron Age gold stater. British Museum classification: Early Uninscribed 'A' Gold - 'Westerham' Type (Hobbs 1996: 48, cf. contemporary forgeries nos. 33 and 34). The core of the coin has been made from heavily debased silver, with no trace of the original gilt surface surviving. Dimensions: diameter: 18.7mm; thickness: 2mm. Weight: 2.39g.
