Description: Primary Phase Series BI, Type 27b, ( Abramson Theme 2; Group16; Variety 10) dating to c. AD 685 - 700, struck in south-east England. The coin has an uneven break with the loss of approximately a third of the flan. Obverse: Diademed bust, right, shoulder breaking beaded circle. Reverse: Bird on cross pattee with annulet at end of each horizontal arm. Reverse: Crude diademed head right, within a beaded circle; vestigial legend in margin. The coin has a diameter of 12.00mm, a thickness of 1.70mm and a weight of 1.17 grams.
