Middle to late Early Medieval copper alloy kite headed pin. The incomplete pin comprises a lozenge shaped flat head atop the remnant stump of the shaft. Both faces of the head are decorated with four impressed dots towards the angles and one central dot. The depressions of the dots hold remnants of a finish. There is a similar dot on each of the four sides of the head. Possibly an Early Medieval to Medieval copper alloy mount or vessel rim sherd or handle. The concave, probably inner, face is undecorated. The convex face has decorated with an incised repeating pattern of a cross within lozenge shaped interlace bounded by the remains of straight borders. The lower border is broken by the bottoms of the interlace. Dates to between c600 & c1500 AD, most likely seventh to ninth century. The length is 46mm, width 11mm, thickness 1.5mm, and the weight 4g.

Probably an Early Medieval to Post Medieval lead alloy wieght or possibly a gaming piece or token. It is circular in plan and half round in section. One face is flat and undecorated. The domed face is decorated with seven raised pellets surrounding a central larger pellet, This central pellet appears to be decorated with an impressed saltire. There is a small sub-triangular projection extending out from the base. Difficult to date accurately but likely to date between c410 and c1750 AD. Early medieval (Viking) hollow cast copper alloy top guard from a Viking sword. It is gently curved in profile and canoe shaped in plan. There are remains of tinned or silvered decoration on one face and on the other there are scars that probably relate to a pommel. There is also what appears to be remnant coating of some sort, possibly gilding, tinning or silver. Cast copper alloy foot of an Anglo-Saxon cruciform brooch of Aberg Group II or III, with a zoomorphic horsehead terminal. The length is 39mm, and the width is 15mm. It dates from between c450 AD and c600 AD. The PAS database has other Aberg Group II and III brooches, but none with that closely match this one. There are a number of records that have a similar zoomorphic horsehead as a part of their design.
