An early-medieval copper-alloy styca of Aethelred II of Northumbria (probably first reign, 840 - 844), moneyer: Odilo. Ref: Pirie 1996. The obverse central motif on the reverse is a cross pattee (Pirie motif 1), on the reverse a cross of pellets (Pirie motif 6) . The spelling of Aethelred appears to be EDILRED (L inverted) placing it into Pirie's group C although Odilo is not listed for this group,

An incomplete copper-alloy Late Early-Medieval stirrup strap-mount of Williams Class B, Type 3 dating to c.1000-1100. The mount is openwork and zoomorphic in form with a trapezoidal shape. The flange angles downwards and outwards. The strap mount has a single, moulded central head with prominent snout, brow-ridge and annulet eyes. Projecting from the head is a moulded pair of antlers or perhaps ears. Each side of the head is a circular perforation. A third perforation sits above the head between the antlers or ears. A copper alloy and iron Viking strap fitting of Early Medieval date. The object is sub-triangular in plan, expanding at either end and waisted in the centre. The wider expanded end is square in cross-section and has an iron core from which projects the remains of a possible circular rivet for attachment. A circular rivet remains attached at this end. The central panel of the object is worn with no visible decoration. An incomplete lead alloy late Anglo-Saxon disc brooch of Weetch's type 13.A, with raised flat-topped centre. The surviving fragment has a central circular raised boss which is decorated, surrounded by a flattened decorated outer rim. The central boss measures 18mm in diameter and is 3.5mm thick. A copper alloy spiral-headed stick pin, Flixborough Type 4, of Early Medieval date, c. 600-700. The pin has a straight shaft measuring 46mm in length which tapers to a sharp point. The shank is circular in cross-section and un-hipped. The top of the pin expands into two halves each of which curve up and round forming a spiral of one and a half turns. The spirals are flattened on each face and touch in the centre. This example does not have a collar and the tapering of the shank is unusual. The pin has a mid-green patina and is in good condition. Two non-joining fragments of an unidentified cast silver artefact. The fragments are rectangular and curved in form with a wedge-shaped cross-section. Both fragments are broken at each end. The concave inner faces are plain and the convex outer faces are decorated with Trewhiddle style ornament. The object is decorated decorated in the Borre-Jelling style of the second half of the tenth century.
