A lead and silver gilt object, probably a weight, of late Saxon date. It is formed from a lead body that is square in form and rectangular in section, relatively well-preserved although with some signs of post-depositional damage. Set into the upper surface is a decorative silver gilt mount, which is square in form with a raised rim that surrounds chip carved and gilded interlaced decoration of Insular Art style. An incomplete lead disc brooch of Weetch type 4.C and late Anglo-Saxon date. It is missing its pin due to old breaks but is otherwise intact. The brooch is flat, disc shaped in form and with moulded decoration on the front face. This comprises a central voided arcuate cross, so made up of four back-to-back curved ridges, all now worn but with pellet terminals at each end of the arms.
