Probable Early Medieval socketed iron knife: A portion of the socket and a fragment of the blade remains. The socket tapers towards the blade, but is incomplete with a fragment of the side and terminal being broken. The blade is triangular in section. It measures 91.6mm long, 26.32mm wide, 17.7mm thick at the socket and weighs 49.29g. A similar socketed iron knife is published in West (1998), No. 101.3 which dates to the Early Medieval period.

Early Medieval (c. mid 5th to late 7th century) knife blade: The knife blade and a portion of the tang remains, but it has broken into two towards the mid point. At this break there appears to be a small portion of the blade missing. The blade is an elongated triangle in section, wedge-shaped. The upper edge of the blade is straight. Early Medieval (c. mid 5th to 10th century) iron spearhead: The spearhead has appears to be almost complete and has been bent at c. °80 at the mid point. The lower terminal is a socket, and this has a split running the length of the socket. The blade is 309.5mm which appears to gradually taper. In cross-section the blade is an elongated lozenge with tapering shoulders which meet the socket. The socket gradually expands to its terminal and becomes circular in section. An Early Medieval wrought iron stirrup of Seaby and Woodfield's Type 2cii. The 'bow' (the arch over the foot) is of D-shaped or triangular cross-section, with a curved arch at the top and tall upright sides which run down to prominent solid knobs or bosses above expanded decorative sideplates. The tread runs across at right angles between the top of the sideplates, and may have been made separately from the bow. The blade has a straight cutting edge, however, the upper edge of the blade is sharply angled downwards towards the cutting edge. This change in angle starts at the approximate mid point along the blade. The blade in section is an elongated triangular shape. The tang is off-set from the upper edge of the blade. The tang tapers and is incomplete.

The item is a flat elongated oval shape with a protrusion at one terminal which curves slightly. The blade has one long edge being slightly more curved than the other. The surface of the item is corroded and has distorted the shape slightly.
