A complete Late Early Medieval copper alloy sword pommel, dating from c. AD 900 - 1100. The pommel is broadly triangular in shape and has a hollow interior. The lower edges of the pommel convex and open. The outer faces is divided into five lobes, increasing in size from the edges to the centre, each separated from its neighbour by a groove. The central lobe has an oval shaped perforation on the upper face, through which the tang of the sword would have passed. Early Medieval (6th century) cruciform brooch: The terminal of the foot is what remains of the brooch, and this is damaged by one side edge being folded to cover some of the outer face. An early-medieval silver penny of Coenwulf of Mercia (796-821), minted by Wihtred in an East Anglian mint, probably Ipswich (North 372; Cn 109; Naismith E12.7). Ref: North 1994: 95; Naismith 2011. The edges are crumpled, folded and incomplete. The reverse design is most similar to Naismith 12.7d with annulets instead of pellets within the cental box.

A cast silver fragment of unidentified function. It comprises a slightly convex, sub-rectangular rod of rectangular cross-section, one end of which is lost to a break and the other end terminating in what appears to be a moulded animal head with a rounded projection, forming a broken edge. Both faces of the artefact are decorated with three rows of low-relief semi-circlesm with a low-relief ring on the head-shaped terminal, perhaps representing an eye.

Early Medieval (10th to 11th century) buckle: The copper alloy buckle is D-shaped with a narrowed strap bar. The apex, on the outer face is decorated with three punched ring-and-dot impressions. The pin is curled around the strap bar and tapers to a blunt point. The surface of the buckle has a mid grey-green coloured patina. It measures 14.12mm long, 17.92mm wide, and weighs 1.73g. The buckle dates to the 10th to 11th centuries. There are two similar on the database, one from Lincolnshire, the other Norfolk (LIN-85C5D2 and NMS-3653C1).
