Description A copper-alloy openwork scabbard chape, dating from the late Early-Medieval to Medieval periods (circa 1000-1200). The chape is two dimensional and comprises a relief-moulded scene with incised detail depicts a quadruped standing left, both of its hind legs clearly distinguishable.
