A copper alloy early Medieval annular brooch dating perhaps from the late 6th or 7th century AD. The frame is D shaped in cross-section and is decorated with transverse grooves on the front face only, round the whole frame. There is a constriction for the pin attachment. This is flanked by additional decorative features in the form of figure-of-eight shaped flattened terminals on each side of the constriction. These are decorated with a ring-and-dot motif on each lobe, and may have been intended as rudimentary animal heads (compare, for example, YORYM-84D7D3). The frame has traces of …

A lead alloy and copper alloy probably weight of Early Medieval date, about AD 800 - 1000. The object is bi-conical and is made of lead alloy with an embedded piece of copper alloy through the centre. The copper alloy forms a domed cap at one end, and is only visible as a small circle at the other. The weight is 21mm tall, and 20.1mm diameter. At a mass of 36.32g, it could represent one and a half postulated Scandinavian units of 24.4 ± 0.8g (Kruse 1992, cited in NMS-E00012). The object could possibly be a gaming piece. A copper alloy two-dimensional brooch in the form of a bird, either a cockerel or a bird of prey. It is either Early Medieval in date, about AD 1000 - 1100, or Medieval, perhaps c. 1350-1500. The bird is depicted in profile facing left. Corrosion has damaged the front of the brooch and obscured many details. The head has a crest (or comb) with vertical ridges on it. There are hints of a transverse moulding across the neck (perhaps like the brooches on page 265 of Egan and Pritchard). The U shaped body has a wing projecting upwards above it. A fragment of an Early Medieval (probably florid) cruciform brooch dating from AD 475 - 570. Only a fragment of the foot of the brooch survives; the flat area below the bow. It is decorated with two transverse bands in strong relief above double raised arches, probably the eyebrows of the horse head found on the foot of cruciform brooches.
