An Early Medieval glass wound bead dating to c.AD 450 - 700. The bead is circular in plan and almost D-shaped in section with central circular perforation. The matrix of the glass is dark blue with opaque yellow trailing. It is made from dark blue glass with yellow detail Diameter: 24.53 mm Diameter: 6.46 mm Weight: 7.08 g Dating of beads and often be tricky due to overlapping types and wide use of simple or crude designs.
