A fragment of an Early Medieval cruciform brooch dating to circa AD 475 - 550. The remaining fragment consists of the headplate and fragment of upper bow. The head-plate is rectangular and has breaks at both sides and the upper edge. The front of the plate is decorated with an incised pellet boarder and two triangles above the bow. The upper bow projects from the headplate almost at a 90° angle. Not enough of the bow remains to identify any decoration. Length: 18.5 mm Width: 22.2 mm Thickness: 1.1 mm Weight: 1.71 g
