‘Plough pebble’ made from a natural quartz on has been worn a worn, polished surface covered in fine striations. This surface is curved in one direction with one edge having a sharper radius, the striations run at 90o to the curve and the surface is flat in this direction. It was reported that the disc was gilded but it has not been possible to verify this. The disc bear a cross with expanding arms the edges of which are marked by incised lines. The shank tapers to a point from 3.2mm diameter and bears traces of iron corrosion products showing it to have been in contact with an iron object. Its upper section is square and decorated with multiple transverse moulding and two faceted areas. The object is domed and has an irregular shape with a rough surface on which is a raised cross motif, its underside is flat and shows signs of being open cast in a one piece mould. While this object resembles some of the 'gaming pieces' found on Viking sites its form is atypical and, unless supported by other finds from the site, must be treated with some reservation.

Cast copper alloy pommel cap from an Early Medieval, tenth century, Viking sword, Petersen Type S, Wheeler Type III, (Peirce, 2002, 102-107). The cap is lentoid and in the from of five conjoined lobes, reducing in size from the centre through which is a hole to accomodate the rivetted end of the tang. The cap is hollow and incomplete, most of one side is missing and there is a hole in one of the lobe. As is it difficult to see how this damage occurred it is possible that the cap was mis-cast. Rim sherd from a Middle Anglo-Saxon vessel made in Northern Maxey ware, probably Fabric B, dating from the 8th to mid 9th century. The fabric is medium hard with a profuse, crushed sea-shell filler, the sherd has a dark grey exterior and core with a mid-brown inner face. The rim is everted with a square-cut edge with some idications of a slight burnish on its outer surface. Jars of this form occured were found at Flixborough (Evans and Loveluck, Fig. 12.24, No. 154). It is estimated that this sherd came from a vessel with a rim diameter of c. 100mm.

The main part of the terminal has a U shaped section within which are traces of the lead alloy that had attached to terminal to the stirrup's iron side pieces. Early Medieval sleeve clasp of Hines Form B12. Cast copper alloy, fragment only, with a grey, silvery finish suggesting that it was plated or made from a high alloy. The clasp originally consisted of three square panels on each of which was a loop by which it was attached to the garment. Between these panels were narrower sections bearing a transverse mouldings marked by incised lines. On the outer edge of the clasp are traces of the eye by which the clasp engaged the hook on its counterpart. Length 24.4mm, Width 11.5mm, Thickness 2.3mm, Mass 2.25g.

The rear edge is made up of a series of cojoined roundels (three survive of a probable original four) and between the end pair is a 2.5mm diameter attachment hole. Around the surviving edge of the mount is a line of casting flash suggesting that the mount may not have been finished, the decoration seem to lack the sharpness usually seen in Style I. Early Medieval or Medieval umbonate disc made from copper alloy. The central boss is 12.8mm in diameter x 7.0mm high. In its centre is a hole containing iron corrosion products. Around the boss is an assymetric flange, its width verying between 4.2 and 2.1mm. It appears to have been cut down rather than damaged. The flange bears a ring of 2.0mm diameter stamped annulets. This object is difficult to date or parallel, association and the use of stamp decoration suggest an Early Medieval date but it could be later. Early Medieval cast copper alloy buckle, oval frame with a rectangular section, 3.0mm wide x 4.7 thick. One side is flattened to 1.7mm to allow a buckle plate to be attached. In the centre of the flat area is a 2.3mm wide bar around which the pin would have been attached. The two plates to the sides of the bar bear the remains of a holes. This buckle is difficult to parallel but its structure resemble that seen on some Early Medieval buckles, for example Mucking II, Grave 871 Marzinzik 2003, Pl. 110). The integrally cast knob is semi-cylindrical with a hollow underside, around it is a central groove flanked by two narrow, incised lines. Unlike other brooch knobs, which have rounded ends, this example is flat ended. In the centre of the head plate is a raised trapezoid panel with side of which is a rectangular wing. This has the round section characteristic of Group I, but has a rounded rectangular section rather than being cylindrical. There is a deep groove around its mid-point. The head-plate wings are slightly down-turned, the lateral knobs are missing. On the underside of the fragment is a single perforated lug by which the pin-spring was attached. Early Medieval annular brooch fragment, cast copper alloy, c. 35mm in diameter hoop 7.1mm wide x 1.8mm thick, Wide facets run around the inner and outer edges of the ring giving it a flattened trapesoid section. Within these facets run two rings of close-set, 1.0mm diameter, annular stamps. Traces of iron staining at one point probably respresent the pin. Diameter c. 35mm, Width 7.1mm, Thickness 1.8mm, Mass 2.49g.
