Description: The hoard contains five silver coins of the Last Small Cross type of Aethelred II (978-1016). Last Small Cross type were issued between c.1009-1017, toward the end of his reign. All five coins are conform to the 777 type (fig 8) set out by North (1994, 160), with the obverse inscription 'ÆÐELRED REX ANG LOR'and the bust style indicating they are from Lincoln and York district mints.
