An incomplete cast copper-alloy fragment originating from a cruciform or small-long type bow brooch of Early Anglo-Saxon attribution, c. 450-550 AD. The fragment consists the very base of the foot, being pelta-shaped in plan with an irregular truncation at its upper edge where it has broken from the main portion of the foot. Both faces are completely plain, with no decoration whatsoever visible. An incomplete and heavily abraded cast copper-alloy hooked tag of Read's Early Medieval class A, type 2, dating c. 800-1100. The tag's body is broadly oval in plan with two small adjacent apertures at its front edge, its upper face decorated with an incised cross. From the rear of the body, a hooked element projects, curving in profile before truncating in old damage. Preserved in rather poor condition, it measures 15.01mm in length, 8.36mm wide at the midpoint of its body by 0.85mm thick, and weighs 0.33g.
