An incomplete Early Medieval brooch of cruciform or small-long type, dating to the period c.500-600. Only the bow and foot survive; it is missing any wings, catchplate or other features and is heavily corroded. The head of the brooch measures 10mm,high; beneath this is the arched upper bow, which is 15mm long. The lower bow then tapers gently to a point at the foot of the brooch.
