An incomplete Early Medieval (Anglo Saxon) copper-alloy zoomorphic strap end dating to AD 750-1100. This is a Thomas Class B strap end with a split-ended plate. The body of the strap end is plain and undecorated, it gradually tapers down to a stylized zoomorphic terminal. The split-ended plate is broken and damaged. This is a Thomas Class B strap end. The strap end has a split end where it would have connected to the leather strap, the strap end tapers to a zoomorphic terminal head. An incomplete Early Medieval (middle to late Anglo Saxon) copper-alloy zoomorphic strap end (750-950 AD). This is a Thomas Class A, Type 5 strap end with a split-ended plate pierced by two rivet holes (both rivets still present), the body of the strap end has curving sides and it gradually tapers down to the zoomorphic terminal.
