Description: it has a hook at one end which is incomplete but would have formed a near complete loop towards the reverse. The cross-section tapers throughout the curve of the hook.. An incomplete, heavily worn and modified copper-alloy sheet metal early-medieval strap end of Thomas classification Class A, Type 2. Dating roughly to the 9th-early 10th century. A heavily corroded and incomplete forged iron spear of uncertain date, possibly early-medieval (see discussion). Description: The spear head survives up to roughly half of the point which survives as stretched diamond shaped point. An extensive section of cylindrical shank remains and is evenly made.
