Part of a terminal from a late Early Medieval to Medieval cast copper alloy horse harness strap connector. The terminal was lozenge shaped in plan with slightly convex outer edges and a sub-circular hole in the centre. Only three corners and the connecting two sides now remain. The remainder, including the corner which connected on to connector bar, is now lost to worn and patinated breaks. There are rounded knops projecting from the outside of the three remaining corners. Late Early Medieval - Medieval (11th century) cast copper alloy double ended harness link, missing one end to an old break. The link is a straight bar, D-shaped in section with a circular domed boss in the centre. The boss is flanked by collars on the basr and has rectangular lobed knops projecting top and bottom. One side has broken level with the outer collar by the boss. At complete end is a lozenge shaped terminal with rectangular knops on each of the three corners not attached to the main bar . In the middle of this expanded section is further expansion with a raised oval knop with rounded sides on the front and trapezoid knops projecting to top and bottom of the main bar. Early Medieval - Medieval cast copper alloy strap link. The object is incomplete but appears to have originally consisted of two loops, a larger trapezoid one and a smaller rectangular one. One side and most of the end of the rectangular one are now missing to old breaks. It is curved in profile with elabotately cast decoratiion. The central cross bar and end bars are circular in section. The central bar and broken bar are 3.9mm in diameter and the complete end bar 4.9mm in diameter.
