A complete copper-alloy gilded mount of Early-medieval date. The mount is in two fragments, it is circular in plan and broadly rectangular in cross section. The front face of the mount is decorated with a central knop surrounded by a circumferential groove and a raised circumferential band. The outer edge is also decorated with a circumferential groove and band. In between the mount is decorated with intertwined possible beasts. Due to wear it is difficult to discern. It belongs to Read's Early-Medieval Class A Type 6, 'heart-shaped', with two attachment holes and a central multiple-rings-and-dot. It measures 13.51x11.14x3.54mm and weighs 0.38g. The central dot pierces the metal and is surrounded by three grooved concentric circles (rings). The base of the mount has a slightly angled moulding with two rivet holes for attachment. It measures 35.98x29.66x3.91mm and weighs 10.03g. A probably Early Early-Medieval (c.400-600) opaque polychrome glass bead, conical in shape with a pronounced mid-rib around the centre. It is now a turquoise blue in colour with a possibly originally red contrasting colour in spiral trails around. Measures 6.68mm in length, max.7.45mm in diameter (min.c.5mm at either end) and weighs 0.38g. The central piercing is c.3mm in diameter.

An incomplete Early Early-Medieval sixth-century copper-alloy rectangular mount, rather bent (possibly from heat distortion) and missing one corner (jagged break). It measures 25.78x22.70x5.99mm and weighs 6.76g. To the reverse are two intact and one incomplete rivets, one in each corner. Those that survive measures 2-3mm in diameter. An fragment of Middle Early-Medieval (720-900) copper alloy polyhedral-headed pin, consisting of the head and top of the shaft only. It measures 14.73mm in length and weighs 1.4g. The head (8.25x5.95x5.77mm) is in the shape of a cube with the corners cut off, and each cube face is decorated with a ring-and-dot stamp. Some facets, particularly towards the top of the pin, are badly worn and/ or corroded. There is apparently no collar below the head. The shaft is circular in cross-section and measures 1.77mm in diameter. It bends slightly before the break.
