A circular copper alloy mount or possible pendant ornament of possible Early Early-Medieval date (c.500-750), with an openwork triskele design at the centre, each arm supported by a narrow projection from the surround. At the cetre of the triskele is a small circular depression. The object measures 64mm in diameter and varies in thickness between 0.8mm and 1.2mm, being thickest at the centre and thinning towards the edges, which are slightly convex from the front and concave from the back. An incomplete cast copper alloy button brooch of Early-Medieval (Anglo-Saxon) date (c. AD 450 - c. AD 550), missing its pin (althoguh there is a large amount of iron corrosion around the pin lug to the reverse). In plan, the brooch is circular and has an upturned rim giving the plate the depth of 3.68mm. The rim, with a few slight knocks, flares outwards at an angle of about 135°.The upper surface of the brooch is decorated with a central chip-carved anthropomorphic forward facing mask. An Early-Medieval (500-700) cast copper alloy pyramidal mount with some edge damage. It measures 7.54mm high and 16.94x15.43mm at the base. It weighs 4.1g. The mount is hollow with a single integral attachment bar (3.09mm wide) from the centre of one edge to its opposite. It is square in cross-section, rising to a point at the apex. Surrounding the base is a thickened ric.1mm wide. The mount is apparently plain. An incomplete Late Early-Medieval (11th century) copper alloy stirrup strap mount of Williams Class A, Type 5. It is missing part of the apex, broken across the piercing. The stirrup strap-mount has a Type A (Common right angle) flange 8.25mm deep and one of two iron rivets is in situ in the rivet holes just above. The mount measures 42.04x26.56mm and weighs 20.62g. The mount is pentagonal in basic shape and has the engraved decoration on an originally smooth surface. Late Early-Medieval (11th century) copper alloy Stirrup Strap Mount of Williams' Class A, Type 9, depicting a human mask. It stands 43.59mm in height, is max.31.57mm wide and weighs 25.67g. To the reverse is an angled flange extending 10.05mm. The flange has a right angle cut where each corner should be. The original patina has been lost in places, especially on prominent areas such as the nose and chin. The pointed oval eyes are within a squarish surround formed by the cheeks and nose. Middle/ Late Early Medieval (750-1050) copper alloy strap-end of Thomas' Class B Type 1, slightly tapering shaft with wedge-shaped split end and zoomorphic terminal. It measures 44.86mm in length, is 9.49mm wide (max) and 5.62mm wide (min). It weighs 5.07g. The split end and shaft are plain, except for a double-rib moulding behind the zoomorphic terminal and again half way between this and the split end, creating three segements. Fragment of Middle Early-Medieval/ Late Early-Medieval copper alloy strap-end of Thomas Class B Type 1 or 2. It consists of the zoomorphic terminal and part of the parallel sided shaft. The fragment measures 20.1mm in incomplete length, is 6.2mm wide and 5mm thick. It weighs 3.61g. The break is relatively recent. It is a sub-triangular mount with a large zoomorphic head terminal at the apex and smaller heads projecting downwards and slightly inwards either side of the base. Probable early Early-Medieval copper alloy hanging bowl escutcheon, missing the tip of its hooked end. It is 37mm long, weighs 3.38g and is slightly curving in profile. In shape it is rather like a long-necked bird. The breast is 14mm wide, narrowing to 7mm where a slightly forked tail 4mm long extends.
