The fragment is torn, partially folded (this does not appear to be a deliberate act, but probably occured post deposition) and incomplete with parts of the coin design missing. An early-medieval convex-sided copper-alloy strap end of Thomas' Class A1 dating to the 9th century AD. Ref: Thomas 2003: 2-4.
The strap end is complete with some surface corrosion. The attachment end is split with drilled two rivet holes thought both sides of the split, both containing iron rivets. An incomplete early medieval sheet copper-alloy finger ring dating c. AD700-1050. The object is formed of a sheet of metal which tapers to a break at both ends. The wider central area of the body of the ring is decorated with three rows of punched ring-and-dot motifs. There is no bezel, the hoop widening gently from the breaks. The ring is now broken and folded.

The surviving fragment of the strap end consists of a lower part of the central panel and a truncated zoomorphic terminal. This animal head terminal forms approximately 75% of the remaining fragment with two curving sub-oval ears and an eye visible. The strap end is worn and corroded. There is damage to the upper half with the attachment end missing from where is was split. The terminal end is zoomorphic, including a bulbous snout and one large sub-oval ear is visible if worn. No elements of the design on the central panel survives and no other design or decorative feature remains. The reverse is undecorated.

A copper-alloy polyhedral-headed pin of Middle Anglo-Saxon date (c.AD650-850). The pin head is lozenge shaped with two flat faces and a small collar beneath. Each face is decorated with four small punched ring-and-dot decorative motifs, although these are hard to see owing to the surviving quality of the surface of the pin.

The surviving fragment of the brooch consists of the central decorated section (diameter 17mm) consisting of two plain circles enclosing an anthropomorphic face composed of two eyes with thick circles enclosing a large pellet and a triangular nose. Anglo-Saxon annular brooch of quoit form, 39mm in diameter and with a band 11-12mm wide. The inner hole is c. 16mm in diameter. It has a circular pin hole c. 2.5-3mm in diameter, seet closer to the inner edge than the outer. Opposite the pin hole is a V-shaped notch for the pin to pass through; the edges of the V each have a raised border or flange to stop the pin slipping back through the notch. This flange or 'stop' is the characteristic which defines this as a quoit form (Ager 1985, 1).

A truncated and worn copper-alloy, early medieval (Anglo-Saxon) strap end, Thomas Class A1 with Trewhiddle-style decoration although this is too worn to discern individual elements, c.AD 800-900.
The attachment end, with likely rivet holes, no longer survives but the rest is complete. There is a central panel containing Trewhiddle-style decoration, and a zoomorphic terminal showing an animal head with large ears and one surviving triangular eye. Each side of the strap end is slightly convex with a beveled appearance.
