Early Anglo-Saxon copper-alloy supporting-arm brooch (or Stutzarmfibel) dating to c. 420-c. 480 AD. The head is an inverted triangle with an obliquely angled reverse, which has perforated terminals which would have supported the axis, spring and pin. The top of the bow has two pairs of transverse linear groove as decoration before the bow arches and tapers to become rectangular in cross-section.
