A copper-alloy single looped rectangular buckle frame. The frame only remains, the pin is missing. The buckle frame is rectangular with three, flat, broad sides and the fourth largely taken up with a constriction for the attachment of the missing pin. The frame is flat and rectangular in cross section. The constriction is circular in cross section. The aperture in the centre of the frame is rectangular with rounded ends and a slight expansion to the frame constriction. It contains abundant poorly sorted temper of rounded quartz sand, flint, chert and calcareous pieces (up to 5 mm). The inclusions are prominemt and protruce through the surface of the vessel. An incomplete copper-alloy small-long brooch. The plate head, part of the bow and the rear lug only remain. The brooch has rectangular head plate with rounded corners. A copper alloy pendant, probably for horse harness. An arched plate of copper alloy with a loop at the top and gilding on the front. The suspension loop is set at a right-angle to the plate and has a low, circular hole through it. Cast copper alloy zoomorphic strap-end. A tapering rectilinear strap end with a split plate at the attachment end. There are two rivet holes on each of the two sides of the split plate, all of which retain traces of the circular rivets.. The strap end tapers to a rounded end. The D-shaped loop of the frame has a kidney-shaped aperture and a pointed outer edge with a notch for the pin flanked by low transverse ridges. An incomplete strap end. A zoomorphic strap end of Thomas Class a, type 1 (Trewhiddle style). An oval split plate strap end with a very stylised en-face zoomorphic terminal. At the attachment end are two circular rivet holes in the front and rear plates with one corner broken. The complete rivet hole retains the small circular cross sectioned copper alloy rivet. A silver pfennig of Heinrich II (1014 - 1024) or Conrad I (1024 - 1039). Issued in the German states, minted at Worms. On the obverse is a pedimented building or church with a large pellet inside the lower part. The pediment is divided in two by a central vertical line and there is a small pellet in each half. The pendant is sub-triangular in form and consists of a gold frame which encloses a slightly bi-convex piece of rock crystal. The frame is constructed from gold sheet, with rectangular strips along each upper edge and sub-triangular sheets on front and back with an aperture cut to house the rock crystal. The base was left open, presumably for insertion of the rock crystal, and was then sealed with a separate strip of sheet gold with the other sides of the frame folded over it to hold it in place.
