A lead Early Medieval spindle whorl, dating from about AD 850 - 1000. It is of Walton Rogers form A1. The spindle whorl is sub-conical in form, with one flat face and one face with one rounded face.  The whorl has a cream patina and is undecorated. Measurements are; diameter 26.9mm, thickness 6.9mm and weight 24.76g.  The central hole has a diameter of 11.1mm. Form A1 whorls are dated by Walton Rogers to AD 500 - 1000. Those with a central perforation of 11mm are more likely to be from the late Anglo Saxon period.

An incomplete copper-alloy small-long brooch of Early-Medieval date, c.AD 450 – 550. Only a small portion of the arched bow and the foot remain which is sub-rectangular with D-shaped section and flared terminal. Both ends are broken and worn. The upper surface of the object is worn though traces of decoration can be determined. Double banded transverse grooves are present at the mid-point of the foot with a raised swelling where it begins to expand into the terminal. An incomplete copper-alloy strap end of Early-Medieval date, c. AD 750 - 950. Possibly Thomas' Class A, Type 5. The strap end is sub-oval in shape with a pointed terminal at the closed end and a worn break at the end from which the split attachment plates would have extended. Only part of the lower plate survives. The pointed terminal is worn though bears traces of indistinct moulded decoration. The front of the main plate has a longitudinal recessed rectangular panel. Form A1 whorls are dated by Walton Rogers to AD 500 - 1000. Those with a central perforation of 6-9mm are more likely to be early to mid Saxon, AD 500 - 850.

A cast lead spindle whorl of Walton Rogers form B1 dating from the Early Medieval to medieval period, about AD 850 - 1200. The whorl has two flat faces and a large central aperture of 11.6mm. The measurements are; diameter 27.6mm, thickness 7.3mm, and weight 31.62g. The object is undecorated and has a light grey patina. Similar examples can the found on the database see SWYOR-B413FF. Walton Rogers dates form B1 from AD 700 in York to 1200. A large central perforation makes a date from AD 850 onwards more likely.

It is discoid in form, flat at the base, and with vertical sides rising to a flat upper surface. There are no markings. There is a central, circular perforation with an internal diameter of  6.4mm. The head is decorated with sinuous spiralling grooves, a decorative type known informally as 'wrythen-headed'. The shaft extends from the base of the head and terminates in a worn break. A copper alloy sword pommel of Petersen's Type S. It is comprised of five lobes, a larger central one and two of diminishing sizes set either side of this. There is the remains of the fixing in the top of the pommel and a hole through it. Inside are possible remains of wood and perhaps some of the fixing. According to Leahy and Lewis (2018: 328), this style of pommel is of an English type but is also attributed to Viking use.
