Flint barbed and tanged arrowhead with a wide tang and both barbs intact, which curve into semi-circular pointed terminals, which do not quite meet the level of the base of the tang. The arrowhead is bimarginally worked around its entire edge and on both the ventral and dorsal faces. The flint is a light grey colour, probably made from a local beach pebble. The length to breadth ratio is about 4:3. Bond (2004) illustrates a similar barbed and tanged arrowhead on page 125, Fig.5.110, Sutton Type C (l), which is dated from the Early Bronze Age. Keene (19…

Fragment of a flint fabricator, triangular in plan and lozenge-shaped in profile and in section. Both edges of the dorsal face have been invasively retouched to the medial ridge, and the ventral face has been invasively retouched leaving a narrow central smooth area. The flint light grey in colour. The fragment tapers to a point, where it would have been used for piercing, but the majority (about two thirds) of the implement is missing. Bond (2004) illustrates similar examples of complete fabricators on page 152, Fig.5.136, Nos.F151-2, which are dated to the Early Bronze Age.

Flint thumbnail scraper, semi-circular in plan and lozenge-shaped, but almost flat, in profile and section. The distal end and left lateral margin have been unimarginally retouched on the dorsal face. The right margin has the remains of a thin layer of cortex. The proximal end has been snapped off beyond the hinge fracture and the bulb of percussion. The flint is a mottled light to dark brown colour, probably made from a local beach pebble, and the length to breadth ratio is almost 1:1. Bond illustrates a similar example, of a thumbnail scraper formed on a flake, on page 57, Fig…

Flint thumbnail scraper, semi-circular in plan and lozenge-shaped in profile and section. The distal end and lateral margins have been unimarginally retouched on the dorsal face. The proximal end has been snapped off on the right side of the dorsal face, and on the left side of the ventral face where the bulb of percussion is. The flint is a mottled light to dark grey colour, probably made from a local beach pebble, and the length to breadth ratio is almost 1:1. Bond illustrates a similar example on page 57, Fig.5.26, No.F36, which is dated to the Early Bronze Age.

Flint short end and side scraper, ovate in plan, flat and semi-circular in profile and in section. The proximal end and right edge of the dorsal face are unimarginally reworked. The flint is a mottled light grey colour, with iron-staining on the surface of both faces. Much of the cortex survives on the dorsal face which suggests that this is made from a primary flake and probably was knapped from a local beach pebble. The length to breadth ratio is about 3:2. Bond (2004) illustrates similar examples of end scrapers on page 56, Fig.5.22, No.L5 and page 151, Fig.5.135, No.F123 whi…

The flint is a mottled light grey colour, with iron-staining on the surface of both faces. No cortex survives on the dorsal face which suggests that this is made from a secondary flake and probably was knapped from a local beach pebble. The length to breadth ratio is about 3:2. Flint fragment of a flake, consisting of just the proximal end which has been snapped off. The fragment is semi-ovate in plan, trapezoidal in section and flat in profile. This proximal end that remains has been retouched on the right edge of the dorsal face. The end may have been snapped off deliberately to create a rectangular-shaped (in plan) blade. The flint has been exposed to the elements so that it is almost white. The length to breadth ratio is about 4:3, but it is a fragment from a longer flake. Bond (2004) illustrates an example of a complete blade with one end snapped off …

Flint fragment of a fabricator, rectangular in plan, trapezoidal in profile and in section. Both edges of the dorsal face have been invasively retouched to the medial ridge. The flint is slightly translucent and light brown-grey in colour. The length to breadth ratio is about 3:2, but it is a fragment, and probably about a third of its original length. Bond (2004) illustrates a similar example of a complete fabricator on page 152, Fig.5.136, No.F151, which is dated to the Early Bronze Age.

Flint end and side scraper, ovate in plan, plano-convex in profile and triangular in section. The distal end and right and left edge of the dorsal face are unimarginally reworked. Some of the cortex remains at the proximal end of the dorsal face, which suggests that it is a secondary flake. The flint is a mottled dark to light grey colour and the length to breadth ratio is about 3:2. Bond (2004) illustrates similar examples of end scrapers page 151, Fig.5.135, No.F126; and page 154, Fig.5.138, No.19, which are dated to the Early Bronze Age.
