A sherd from the body of an early Bronze Age vessel, dating to the period c.2350-c.1200 BC. Hard, coarse fabric containing plentiful poorly sorted quartz pieces (<2mm). The outer surface and core are an oxidised orange-red colour while the inner surface is a lighter grey. The outer surface is decorated with bands of three and two parallel lines of small square indentations. Description: A fragment of a late Bronze Age socketed axe. Only the blade end and the inner part of the socket survives. The fragment is rectangular in cross-section, tapering towards the blade. The blade edge curves outwards and is damaged in places with a notch to one side. Each side of the fragment flares outwards towards the blade and gently inwards towards the break. A slight casting seam can be seen running longitudinally along the centre of one side, but this has largely worn away on the other side. An incomplete copper alloy early Bronze Age flanged axe. The outer part of the butt is missing. It has strongly concave sides with a flaring, outwards curving blade. A low flange runs down either side, disappearing towards the blade. The surface of the metal is heavily corroded and the breaks are well worn. This example probably belongs to the Willerby or Arreton metalworking phases, which equates to Needham's (2017, fig.16) Period 3 or Period 4 - c.1900 BC -c.1500 BC Length: 59.97mm, width: 37.86mm, thickness: 12.30mm, weight: 76.30g

A complete copper alloy Middle Bronze Age socketed and side-looped spearhead. The blade is flame-shaped, 76mm in length and 31mm in width, with a pronounced rounded midrib running down the centre of both sides. Each wing has a bevelled outer edge, c.2.2mm wide. The hollow socket is circular in cross-section, tapering to adjoin the midrib. There is a small loop to either side of the socket, each c.18mm in length and each positioned c.11mm above the outer end, both with flattened outer loop plates. A complete copper alloy awl, probably of late Bronze Age date. The shaft is sub-rectangular in section and tapers towards either end. One end is pointed, whilst the other is chisel shaped. It survives in poor condition with a corroded surface. It is difficult to date Bronze Age awls precisely. Ben Roberts (pers. comm.) suggests that they are likely to date to later in the period. The form changes little throughout time, however, and much later examples are also known. A complete but distorted solid gold penannular ring dating to the Middle Bronze Age, c. 1550-1150 BC. It is broadly oval in plan view and plano-convex in section, being formed of three 'D' sectioned bands which have been soldered together, though in places these are starting to come away from one another. The terminals are squared off, but now overlap due to damage.
