Flint thumb nail scraper, made from a secondary flake, of probable Early Bronze Age date. Diffuse ripples and a wide butt suggest that a large, soft hammer was probably used. The majority of the dorsal face is covered with brown, chalky, cortex. The distal end shows semi-abrupt, long, parallel retouch. This retouch continues along the left edge, becoming shorter and abrupt. The flint is dark grey-brown in colour, with milky, blotched patination. Length: 25.55mm, Width: 23.67mm, Thickness: 7.21mm Weight: 4.67g
