Middle Bronze Age bronze unlooped palstave axe. It is a shield-pattern palstave from the Acton Park phase metalwork. It has a dark brown patina. The axe is a heavy implement and complete with the two flanges and a crescent-shaped blade. The straight sides are parallel as far as the stop. The blade flares outwards towards the cutting edge. It is probably a river gravel pebble from the local area rather than imported. The main colour is a rich brown, and the narrowed point is grey. There is a small area of cortex remaining. The use is uncertain.

Middle Bronze Age cast bronze un-looped palstave axe. It is a shield-pattern palstave from the ActonPark phase metalwork. The axe is incomplete with some of the flanges, butt end and blade missing. The blade flares outwards towards the cutting edge. The stop ridge is slightly damaged. A casting ridge can be seen down both sides of the object. The thickness of the blade tip is 8.62mm. The object measures 140.2mm in length and 35mm in width. The object has a dusty mid-brown patina and is corroded. Cast copper alloy facetted axe dating to the late Bronze Age, (1000-800BC). The sides of the axe are straight and flare out slightly at the blade which is rounded and uneven. The cutting edge has a few corrosion chips in the centre. The cutting edge measures 2.42mm in thickness. One half of the mouth of the socket and the top section of one side of the axe have broken away. The mouth flares outwards slightly and is 4.23mm thick. Small thumbnail scraper dating to the early Bronze Age, (2150-1500BC). The object is a pointed oval in plan and D-shaped in cross-section. The dorsal side has been worked and contains many facet and ridges. The outer edges have been retouched on each side of the implement. One half of the ventral side is flat and smooth while the other has been worked also. Bi-facial working is unusual for thumbnail scrapers so it was possibly being converted into another object such as an arrowhead also. The object is a clear, light brown in colour with a grey tip.

The ventral side of the object is smooth while the dorsal side has several ridges and facets. There is a small amount of retouch on the edges. The object is quite worn and has a mottled toffee brown and light yellow patina. The implement is likely to have been used as a crude knife.

The object could date to the Mesolithic however the context of the other flints in the assemblage suggests that it is Bronze Age.
