Four fragments of copper alloy casting waste. The fragments were one object upon discovery and have since broken and separated. Each fragment is irregular in plan and has a mid-green patina.

Combined weight: 17.5g
Due to the nature of this find an exact date can not be given. However a Bronze Age flanged axehead LVPL-AC4D8B was recovered from the same field suggesting an early date is possible.

A complete cast copper alloy long flanged axehead (developed flat axe) dating from the final phase of the Early to the earliest Middle Bronze Age (c. 2000 - 1700 BC). The axehead is most probably of the axe type Arreton which is dated to Early Bronze Age III, of metalworking stage V, which corresponds to Needham's (1996) Period 3 circa 2000 - 1700 CAL BC.

An incomplete copper alloy spearhead of later Middle Bronze Age to Late Bronze Age date, c.1500-800 BC.
The object is triangular in plan with a central raised rib on each face. The mid rib is lozenge shape and extends to the base of the object where it terminates with a break. The tip of the spearhead is complete and measures 4mm in width and 3mm thick.
There is no remaining evidence of a socket. The object has a smooth olive-green patina which is pitted and chipped in places, probably due to damage within the plough soil.

A complete copper alloy casting jet for a socketed axe, of the South Wales type of socketed axe, of Bronze Age date.
The object is circular in plan and sub-conical. Four circular-sectioned runners project from the body of the object. The runners measure 6-8mm in length and are 4mm thick. The upper surface is dished with a rough surface. The object has a mid-green patina.

A fragment from a Bronze Age socketed axe. The fragment consists of the side loop and one edge of the socket rim only. The loop is infilled with dark reddish material, probably iron corrosion. There is no visible moulding. The fragment has a smooth dark brown patina.

An almost complete cast copper alloy socketed axe of late Bronze Age date (950 - 750 BC). The axe is relatively short and stubby with faceted sides. Probably Type Portree or possibly Gillespie. These axes have been discovered in associated with the late Wilburton metalworking traditions (phase XI) and the Ewart Park tradition (phase XII). A cast copper alloy incomplete spearhead of late Bronze Age date. The object can be classified from Group 16 Blade openings (Davis, R. 2015. The Late Bronze Age spearheads of Britain. [PBF V.7]. Stuttgart: Franz Steiner.).
The object has a sub-triangular blade which is broken at the tip. One long barb remains but is damaged and measures 35mm in length, from the break to the base of the blade. An almost complete copper alloy flat axehead of early Bronze Age date, c.2150 - 1500 BC. The axehead is sub-oval in plan with a lentoid cross-section. The axehead is extremely worn with no visible decoration. No signs of ridges or flanges are present indicating that this is an early flat axe.
The butt is narrow, rounded and is almost complete measuring 21mm in width, and 3mm thick. One edge of the butt end has broken away. The cutting edge is crescent-shaped and measures 47mm in width and is 3mm thick. At the thickest point in the centre of the object the axehead measures 5mm.

An incomplete cast copper alloy (bronze) short flanged axe of Middle Bronze Age dating, probably of the Acton Park or Taunton metalwork assemblage and dating from c.1500 to c. 1350BC.
The blade of the palstave is sub-triangular in plan, with a convex cutting edge measuring 35mm in width and 3.5mm thick. In profile the blade is sub-triangular with the widest section being before the stop ridge. The stop ridge is further along the body of the axe on one face than the other. A copper alloy fragment of cast Bronze Age axe. Only the crescentic shaped blade remains with the remainder of the axe having broken away in ancient times. The blade measures 55mm in width and is 22mm in length. At the cutting edge the blade is 1.5mm thick, the object thickens towards the break which measures 13mm thick. To the rear of the complete blade edge is a slight depression.

The axe has a shield shaped pattern below a very slight stop ridge, and raised flange facets. The blade of the object expands outwards to a crescentic cutting edge. Bronze Age Gold Strip (possibly a bead) from Much Wenlock - Shropshire
Treasure Case: 2017 T42
A small rectangular strip of folded gold with one decorated surface. The object was folded upon discovery and subsequently opened up by the finder.
One edge of the strip is complete having been cut regularly with a slightly thickened rim while the other edge of the strip has been torn resulting in a sharp undulating edge. The decoration consists of eight fine, straight ridges and grooves..

A flint barb and tanged arrowhead of Early Bronze Age date. The arrowhead is triangular in plan and lozenge shaped in cross-section. Two notches chipped into the base of the flint separates the barbs and the tang. The arrowhead is bificially worked with covering, scaled, low angle retouch.
The arrowhead has been made on a mid-grey piece of flint and there is no cortex remaining. The object dates to the Early Bronze Age or Beaker period, 2400-1600BC.
