An incomplete Beaker Period of the Late (final) Neolithic to Middle Bronze Age barbed and tanged flint arrowhead, dating to c. 2400-1100 BC. The arrowhead is sub-triangular in plan, formed from a tertiary flake of pale brown/grey almost translucent flint. It is bifacially worked with invasive, scaled, low angle retouch, which does not cover the whole of the dorsal surface, as though the arrowhead has not been finished. There is a tiny amount of patination to white on the outer edge of the slightly curved barb. Two notches chipped into the base separate the barb…

Palstave 1:
A complete, unlooped, Middle Bronze Age Palstave axe dating to c.1500-1250 cal BC
The butt of the axe is 21.4mm wide, 6.3mm thick and has a straight edge apparently from a deliberate transverse break. The septum measures 58.8 mm in length and is consistent in thickness down its length. This ends at a transverse stop ridge.
The flanges of this axe begin 13.2 after the butt and widen an…

A copper-alloy Bronze Age to Medieval copper-alloy awl 1250 BC-AD 1500. The find consists of four straight sides, each one plain, and rectangular in section. Its midpoint is bulbous and the awl tapers inwards terminating in rounded points at each end. Plain copper alloy awls are hard to date precisely but examples of this form are thought to have been introduced in the Bronze Age and they have barely changed throughout the centuries.

Found whilst metal detecting on cultivated land at a depth of 3 inches.
Gold ingot of probable Bronze Age date. The find is a slightly bent cylindrical length of gold. One end is complete and flat, the other is slightly twisted and was probably broken by hammering a dent and breaking it across the thinnest place. Hammer marks are still evident.
Dimensions: Dimensions: 56.0mm in length; 3.8mm in diameter or thickness, 9.65g in weight.
