A flint scraper of probable later prehistoric date, c. 3,300-800 BC. Worked from a primary flake of grey-brown flint, with cortex covering all of those areas not exhibiting retouch. Crude removals struck from the proximal end have thinned the flake, removing the bulb of percussion. Short, semi-abrupt, scalar retouch is exhibited around the perimeter of the dorsal face, with the exception of the proximal end. A quartzite beach cobble utilised as a grindstone, of probable Prehistoric date. The cobble is most likely from the Salcombe pebble beds, deriving ultimately from the permian river systems of Normandy. The cobble has an oval plan and cross section, but is truncated, forming a well-worn oval facet at one end, exhibiting some battering damage as well as one edge being slightly bevelled through use. An incomplete Late Bronze Age socketed axehead, probably dating to c. 1150-750 BC. The fragment is extremely abraded, leaving no surface detail and at one point wearing completely through the wall, leaving an irregular perforation.
