A fragment of a copper alloy probable flat Axehead of Early Bronze Age date (2200-1700 BC). The object is composed of the butt end of an axe and is sub rectangular in cross section and has a shallow lenticular side profile. The object has a transverse break resulting in the loss of the majority of the object. Length: 28.42mm, Width: 23.54mm, Thickness (max): 10.43mm, Thickness (min): 2.69mm, Weight: 25.5g The metal is dark green with a predominantly smooth patina.

A fragment of a cast copper alloy developed flat Axehead of Early Bronze Age date (2200-1700 BC). The fragment consists of the narrow butt of the axehead, which is sub-rectangular in plan and sub-triangular in profile tapering in toward the butt edge. The sides are straight and retains visible linear casting seams. The opposing end terminates in an irregular transverse break. The surfaces with the exception of the broken edge has a predominantly smooth patina. The metal is dark green in colour. The object is composed of the butt end which is broken toward the blade end by an old, abraded and irregular break. The retained butt end is abraded but is rectangular in plan and section and tapers out toward the body of the object both in plan and section. The fragment has a broadly rectangular cross-section at the break. The object tapers outward from the cutting edge. The metal is a mid-green in colour with a predominantly smooth patina.
