Grey flint with cortex strip, possible scraper. A small chip with a broad flake struck from its dorsal side and with a concave patch on its ventral surface. Patches of misty patina have formed over struck surfaces, suggesting a limited period of exposure to a calcareous environment. This was removed by very short abrupt retouch executed from the dorsal aspect to define a hollow, possibly to trim a shaft. Suggested date: Early Bronze Age, 2350-1600 BC. A small segment from the cast plano-convex section band of a bracelet of estimated internal diameter c.100mm with alternating rounded drum-shaped segments and plainer sunken zones between them. The rounded segments bear traces of closely-spaced longitudinal grooves. Broken at both ends and fiercely abraded. The finder kindly cites LANCUM-F0B515 as a similar find of Middle Bronze Age date.
