A fragment of copper-alloy middle Bronze Age bladed artefact, probably a dirk or rapier, or possibly a spearhead..
This fragment weighs 10.72g, has an incomplete length of 24.6mm and width of 17.4mm. This fragment has a pointed sub-oval shaped cross-section that is slightly faceted, with a central longitudinal ridge flanked to either side by another longitudinal ridge, on both sides of the blade. The fragment has a maximum thickness of 6.2mm. The fragment is slightly curved suggestive of having been deliberately broken.
Thanks to P. Reavill & D. Boughton for their comments o…

A fragment of copper alloy which appears to be an incomplete section of a blade. It is possible that this fragment is a small part of a blade of Bronze Age date (c.2350-801BC). Weight is 14.3g, incomplete length is 29.65mm, width is 25.31mm and thickness is 4.76mm. The cross section was probably originally a flattish oval with the edges tapering out very thin, now mostly missing. The upper and lower surfaces do not seem to have had a higher point/ridged longitudinal centre despite the presence of corrosion product and some patches where the original surface seems to be missing.

A fragment of a copper-alloy socketed sickle blade of Bronze Age date. Weight is 12.08g, length of the fragment is 46.69mm, width is 16.73mm and thickness is 3.59mm. The cross section is oval or a sub lozenge. The edges are quite chewed, but Cyril Fox lists parallels from the River Thames (Tilehurst, Berks.; Plate XXIV, no 5), Norwich (Norfolk, Plate XXVI, no. 12) which have a similar straight blade. Due to the fragmentary remains of this blade it is impossible to determine whether the sickle was laterally or vertically socketed. Most of these socketed sickles are part of the Ewart Pa…

A fragment of copper-alloy blade that weighs 24.12g, has an incomplete length of 44.3mm, width of 22.9mm and thickness of 5.4mm. This fragment has a relatively fresh transverse break at both ends and a narrow pointed oval cross-section. Patches of corrosion and light green patina are present on this artefact.
This blade fragment is probably from an artefact of Bronze Age date.
This fragment cross-fits with fragment CAM-14C0B5. This fragment may possibly be from an object similar to that shown in Watson, P., 1993 Catalogue of British and European Prehistoric Metalwork in Birmingham Ci…
