A complete, cast, lead spindle whorl. Both faces are undecorated, with one face being flat and the other being convex. Patinated. 10.19mm circular hole in the centre. 32.29mm diameter, 5.74mm thick, 34.45g. Lead whorls are not easy to date though the plano-convex form is known from the early medieval period (cf. Walton Rogers form A1), so suggested date is Early Medieval to Medieval, AD 850-1350.
