An incomplete copper alloy openwork mount, potentially of Anglo-Scandinavian origin and of Late Early Medieval date, c. AD 800-1000. The mount is roughly a rounded trapezoidal shape with a curved profile and an undecorated reverse which retains an incomplete integrally cast rivet for attachment. A copper alloy mount, or perhaps a strap end or buckle plate, dating from the late Medieval period, about AD 1300 - 1500. It is sub-square in plan, apparently broken at both ends. There is a rivet hole in two corners which are possibly undamaged, and the opposite end is broken across two circular holes. The face is fluted, raised with repousse into four bands, with wide hollows between them. The hollows are decorated with rocker arm zigzag incised lines. These form a border line along each long edge of each hollow. Between them, in all three, is a wavy rocker arm line, with short obli…
