The object is sub-triangular with a forked terminal formed of two sub-rectangular strips which curve round slightly before terminating in worn breaks. An incomplete copper-alloy buckle of medieval date, c.AD 1250 - 1400. The buckle has a single looped oval frame with integral lobed knops to either end of the bar. An integral plate expands from behind the bar and is narrowed and framed at each end by a transverse moulding. The terminal end is broken and worn. A barrel moulding is present at the centre of the plate with a circular perforation through it. The reverse is flat and undecorated. The metal has a mid-green patina and is worn. A complete copper-alloy brooch of medieval date, c.AD 1250-1400. The brooch comprises a quatrefoil frame with a D-shaped section. The corner of each lobe displays an ovate rounded knop. One arch of the frame has a circular perforation through which a pin is fitted. The pin is formed of a thin piece of copper-alloy wire and is fitted through the frame by an open loop. Two prominent knops flank three grooves on the outer edge of the loop. The grooves act as rests for the pin. The pin no longer remains. The metal has a mid-green patina and is in fair condition.
