Two fragments of a Silver medieval penny of Henry VI (1422-1461) dating to the first reign, annulet type, circa 1422-1427. Mint of Calais.
One larger fragment with a ragged edge contains approximately 70 % of the flan. A second small fragment from the outer edge is present. The coin is hardly worn, condition is likely a result of post depositional damage.

Obv: Crowned bust facing, annulet either side of neck. Inscription: hENRICVS REX[ANGLIE] Dual saltire stops. Beaded inner and outer circles.
