A clipped silver penny of Edward I (1272-1307) minted in Cantebury issue of 1301-1310. The coin has been overstruck, causing the legend on the obverse to be struck twice. The top of the coin, where the initial mark is, has been clipped more than the other areas.
Obverse: The lettering is hard to read, but the folliwng has been distinguished: The initial cross is fig. 18 in North (1991, p. 26). EDWARD ANG hYB with a pellet at the end. There is a facing bust with a bifoliate crown.
