A heavily worn silver half groat of James I (AD 1603 to AD 1625), dating to the period AD 1604 to AD 1619. Minted at the Tower of London. Mintmark uncertain. C.f. North vol 2, 1991, p 145, no 2104-5. Coin has been pierced from obverse to reverse at the centre point. Internal diameter of the piercing is 1.9 mm.
