Halfgroat of an indeterminate later medieval ruler, Canterbury mint, probably Henry VI or Edward IV, issue of 1422-1483, probably clipped with loss of most of legends; a star may appear in upper legend obverse side which could point to an issue of 1335-1343, though this might equally be the indented ends of lettering.
Obverse description: facing bare shouldered bust with tall bifoliate crown whose ornaments appear to touch, within a heavily rendered nine-arched tressure.

The reverse has a long cross pattée, with three pellets in each quarter, dividing the legends POSVI DEU AD[IVT]OREM CIVI/TAS / LON/DON. There is the remains of a crown IM on the reverse.
