The obverse bears a cross initial mark, the visible legend reading […]W[…]AR[…]V[…]:REX. There is a facing bust with a crown, bifoliate on the right.
The reverse has a long cross design with three pellets in each quarter. The legend reads LONDONIENSIS with all three Ns reverse barred.
Identified as Withers, either type 1aiii or type 2a (p. 16/17)

An incomplete, very worn, Medieval silver farthing from the reign of Edward I to Edward III (AD 1272-1377). It appears to have been clipped around the rim from around 12 o'clock to 1 o'clock, 3 o'clock to 5 o'clock, 7 o'clock to 9 o'clock, and potentially from 11 o'clock to 12 o'clock.

Reverse description: Long cross pattee with three pellets in each angle.
