A complete lead or lead alloy bifaced token of Late Medieval to Early Post Medieval dating (AD 1400 to AD 1800). The token is sub circular. Both the obverse and reverse bear designs of uncertain form. The obverse may have a set of two initials (TH & DE) (Probably Powell type 2), whereas the reverse bears a sub triangular design (probably Powell type 9). The public house, The Seven Stars is still open and the sign of the seven stars refers to the Pleiades, "not uncommon throughout the West of England" (Williamson, 1967, 98).
