Reverse description: Port broadside partial view of a three-masted ship under sail with a fort to the right.

A very worn, copper alloy trade token of Modern date (AD 1844). The farthing token was issued by John Austin, a miller, tea dealer, and grocer of Stafford Street, Willenhall. Austin's business was later taken over by Joshua Rushbrooke who issued his own tokens.
Obverse description: Padlock, bolt and bracket, and curry comb.
Obverse inscription: [LET] [WI]LLENHALL [F]LOURI[SH]. 18[44].
Reverse inscription: AUSTIN'S FAMILY T[EA] A[ND] GROC[E]RY [E]STABLISH[MENT].

A Medieval lead-alloy pictorial token, main series dating c. 1250-1307. The obverse depicts a double headed eagle displayed, with no legend. The reverse depicts a barry shield, with no legened.
Mitchiner & Skinner (1983, 50/Pl. 5; no. 46) illustrates a token of the same design, with a date of c.1250-1307. Mitchiner & Skinner (1983:49) writes "These are made of t same metal as contemporary pilgrimage ampullae. No subsequent tokens have been recorded in pure tin until the the late fifteenth century."

An incomplete copper farthing token of Henry Peniell at the public house, the Seven Stars in Falmouth, dated to 1666 on similar tokens but the date is missing on this token. The public house, The Seven Stars is still open and the sign of the seven stars refers to the Pleiades, "not uncommon throughout the West of England" (Williamson, 1967, 98).

An incomplete lead medieval token of the Boy Bishop type, dating to the period AD 1400-1500. The obverse shows left facing bust, surrounded by a crude legend. There is a shield on the reverse, divided into quarters and with a letter in each quadrant, surrounded by a crude legend. It probably imitates a Henry VII groat, and is similar to those listed in Fletcher's Leaden Tokens and Tallies, p31.
