An incomplete late Medieval to Post Medieval copper-alloy Nuremberg jetton of anonymous 'ship-penny' type dating c. AD 1490-1550. Obverse: sailing ship with rigging and sail, with waves beneath, the bow has a pennant pole on the right, the stern a flag on the left. Reverse: Four fleur-de-lis in a lozenge surrounded with trefoils flanked by small annulets in each quarter of the field. Fictitious legends. Similar to Mitchiner, 1988, no. 1171.

An incomplete copper alloy Tournai "shield of France" jetton of the medieval - post-medieval period, probably dating from the fifteenth century (c. 1400-1500 AD).  The jetton is 25.9mm in diameter, 1.4mm thick and weighs 3.7g.  Part of the edge has broken away rendering much of the legend unclear.  The jetton is green and has deposits of copper corrosion on the surface which obscures part of the design. A Medieval copper-alloy Early French jetton with marginal inscription dating to AD 1250-1325. Obverse: Shield of France bearing six lis (arranged 3-2-1).
