Fragment of a probable copper alloy Roman plate brooch, inlaid with enamel, dating to the 2nd century AD (100-200AD). The object is oval in plan and slightly convex on the outer face. There is a break at the top and bottom of the object.  This suggests that the object could be a large roundel from the centre of a brooch bow.  It is decorated on the outer face with a series of concentric circular cells, the largest of which contains blue enamel or glass. The inner circles appear to contain degraded enamel or glass, which is a rusty brown colour. The reverse is plain.  …

An incomplete Post Medieval to Modern cast copper alloy probable watch winder or handle dating to c. AD 1800-1900.  The object has an annular round section handle with a cylindrical lug which widens out to a double collar, and terminates in a single small loop. The whole object is decorated with a raised foliate design. It has a very dark patina, with some small areas of red. An incomplete Post medieval copper alloy sexfoil furniture mount dating to c. AD 1500-1800. The object consists of six conjoined petals that taper towards a central perforation. The object is conical in shape. Each of the petals has an external knop at the apex. The reverse of the object is undecorated but the front has linear engraved divisions between each of the petals. An incomplete, Roman copper-alloy plate brooch of the Roman period dating to the 3rd to 4th centuries AD. The brooch is oval in form. It has a raised outer border and a higher inner border that holds a black glass oval conical 'gemstone'. The flat space between the two raised borders is filled with concentric circle stamped decoration. A fragment from a copper-alloy socketed axehead of Bronze Age date. Only the socket end of the axe remains, and it has post-depositional damage. It is broadly trapezoidal in shape, and is hollow. At the socket end the rim in thickened. Along one outer edge is the remains of a longitudinal casting seam.There is a similar example recorded on the PAS database (SF-CA59D7). This socket measures 43.02mm in length, 47.15mm in width, 4.77m in thickness, 47.86g in weight.

Possibly Late Saxon lead weight, conical with hollow underside and X-shaped rib on the upper part. Some small irregular indentations near the base are probably deliberate. In rather abraded condition. Height 12mm. Diameter 14mm. The height of the hollow on the underide 10mm. Weight 8.52g, perhaps for one third of a weight unit of 26.6g (8.86g) postulated for Viking Dublin (Kruse 1992, 86). No. 6 on annotated map in file.
