A "Brief Description of the Contents of the Museum at Ribchester" noted that Case V contained the series of coins from the site (Ibid., 34):
"Among others the group of five silver denarii, belonging to the reigns of Vespasian and Titus (AD 69-81), may be noticed. These were found on the edge of the Roman road about forty yards north of the North Gate of the fort. The silver coins, as is usually the case, are well preserved.""
