I cannot see this as being purse-related as it bears no similarity to known purses. Can it be re-classified please. Is it really lead alloy? Looks like gilded cu alloy.

While this object as described as having an L-shaped cross section it doesn't otherwise bear any resemblance to purse frames, I suspect it is far more recent and that it is not purse-related. Can it be re-classified please.

Without a photo I cannot be certain but the description suggests that this is an18/19th century coat hook which characteristically have terminal of this shape. It is probably not purse-related. Can it be re-classified please.
